1. Who We Are

Reality Check (“Reality Check” or “the Service”) is an AI-powered tool for identifying, scoring and analysing hallucinations or factual errors in text generated by large-language models (“LLMs”). Reality Check is owned and provided by Confidentia AI Inc. (“Confidentia,” “we,” “our,” “us”).

2. Scope of this Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Confidentia collects, uses, discloses and safeguards personal data when you

• visit or use the Reality Check web or mobile application;
• interact with us by email, social media or customer support.

3. What Data We Collect

• Usage data – text you submit for analysis, timestamps, feature interactions, device and browser information.
• Diagnostic & performance data – model outputs, hallucination scores, latency metrics, crash reports.
• Communications – support tickets, survey responses, feedback and any other messages you send us.

Special note on query text: the content you submit may itself contain personal data. Please only submit text that you are authorised to share with a third-party processor.

4. How We Use Your Data

• provide, troubleshoot and improve Reality Check (contractual necessity / legitimate interest);
• authenticate users and secure the Service (contractual necessity / legitimate interest);
• process payments (contractual necessity / legal obligation);
• respond to support requests and gather feedback (legitimate interest);
• send service-related or promotional messages, with opt-out available at any time (consent / legitimate interest);
• comply with laws, enforce our terms, detect and prevent fraud (legal obligation / legitimate interest).

(For users in the EEA/UK these correspond to GDPR legal bases; similar concepts apply under other regimes such as CCPA.)

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes listed above, to satisfy legal or accounting requirements, or to resolve disputes and enforce contracts.
By default we erase raw query text 30 days after it is analysed and keep only aggregated, anonymised metrics thereafter. You may request earlier deletion (see Section 9).

6. Sharing and Disclosure

We never sell personal data. We share it only:

• with cloud-hosting, analytics and payment vendors that act as our processors under written agreements (a current sub-processor list is available on request);
• within the Confidentia corporate group, or in the context of a merger, acquisition or asset sale;
• when required by law or to protect the rights, safety or property of Confidentia, our users or others;
• with your explicit consent (for example, if you agree to be featured in a public case study).

7. International Data Transfers

Data is hosted on servers in EU and the US and may be replicated across regions for redundancy. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Confidentia relies on:

• an adequacy decision issued by the European Commission or UK government; or
• Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) together with additional safeguards.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• access, correct or delete personal data;
• receive a portable copy of your data;
• object to or restrict processing;
• withdraw consent (future processing only);
• complain to a supervisory or regulatory authority.

Submit requests by emailing info@confidentia.ai. We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (e.g., 30 days under GDPR, 45 days under CCPA).

9. Security Measures

Confidentia protects personal data using industry-standard safeguards including:

• encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest;
• least-privilege access controls and audit logging;
• regular penetration testing and vulnerability scanning;
• disaster-recovery and incident-response plans.

No method of transmission or storage is 100 % secure. Please report suspected vulnerabilities to info@confidentia.ai.

10. Children’s Privacy

Reality Check is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be announced by email or via an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of Reality Check after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
